These are recommended paper towels that you can use for hand wiping before lens insertion to prevent eye irritation.
If you experience eye irritation after inserting contact lenses, it is often caused by dust trapped under the lens. This dust may come from using regular toilet paper, which is made of short and small fibers that can easily stick to your hands. To resolve this issue, Dr. Bird recommends using paper towels (like kitchen paper) that can be rolled or popped up.
Eye irritation caused by dust may affect one eye or both (most often, it is provoked in the eye that was inserted last). You will likely feel less irritation after removing the lens. The irritation may lessen or disappear when you clean the lens and reinsert it.
