Before insertion

1. Prepare your tools for inserting a scleral lens, such as a plunger (suction cup), mirror, saline, lens case, and solution.
2. Always wash your hands with soap.
3. Dry your hands with a lint-free towel or paper towel before touching the lenses.
4. Insert your right lens first.

RGP lens insertion

1. Place your right lens on your right index finger.
2. Use both hands to hold your upper and lower eyelids open.
3. Keep both eyes open and look straight ahead into the mirror.
4. Gently place the lens on the center of your eye, then release your eyelids.
5. Look down and close your eyes.
