1. A plunger without holes : Ok-Lens and RGP Lens
Dip the plunger slightly in water and shake it a little. Then, plunge without squeezing.
2. A plunger with hole : Scleral Lens and Hybrid lens
Dip the plunger slightly in water and shake it a little. Then, squeeze the plunger before plunging.
3. A Flower plunger : RGP Contact lens (Includes OK-Lens, Scleral lens and Hybrid lens)
This plunger is for lens insertion only. Place the lens on the tip of the lens plunger holder.
Tips
- You should always wet the plunger with normal saline because it makes it easier to remove the lens.
- You should always clean the plunger and keep it dry after use.
- If you keep the plunger wet, it may develop mold and bacteria (indicated by black or yellow dots on the plunger).
- Never use a broken plunger or one that has mold on it.
- You should store the spare suction cup in a dry and cool area (you can keep it in the crisper drawer).
